At the Northport Area Heritage Museum, every Preservation Partner plays a vital role in shaping how our local history is remembered and experienced. Recent Projects
Thanks to the generosity of our Preservation Partners, the museum has undergone a series of meaningful upgrades that elevate both its charm and functionality. We’ve installed a new side door entrance to welcome visitors with ease, and our stairs and full foyer have been carpeted with durable, commercial-grade flooring—improving both comfort and safety for all who enter. These improvements reflect the care and pride we take in creating a museum experience worthy of the stories we preserve.

Ongoing Initiatives
We’re currently in the final stages of a multi-phase carpeting project, with plans to complete the upstairs Family Room. This cherished space hosts intimate storytelling sessions, research, and family gatherings. The finishing touches here will ensure the upstairs area matches the warmth and professionalism of the newly refreshed foyer.
